Chef Laurie grew up in Ontario's Greenbelt and developed a love of growing food, being in restaurants, and cooking for others at an early age. She studied at George Brown College and went on to work at some of Toronto's finest restaurants, including Scaramouche. She was a Chef de Cuisine as a part of Four Season's Hotel and Resorts and has had the opportunity to work with great people as well as mentors such as Lynn Crawford and Jonathan Gushue. Laurie strongly believes that our communities flourish with both educated awareness of and improved access to fresh, affordable food that is both sustainable mindfully prepared.
